About Recipes

Recipes are a new function in ABC Analyzer 5 that makes it easier for you to build advanced analyses.

When using a recipe you add one or more elements to your current analyse, this could for example be a calculated column, a report or a categorization.

How to use Recipes in ABC Analyzer?’
In ABC Analyzer you find Recipes below the menu option “Edit”. After choosing the wanted recipe from the list, you need to make sure that you have the correct data columns.

You choose which columns ABC Analyzer have to use, and the software automatically put them into the right formulas and build the mathematically criteria.

How to correct in a recipe?
You cannot directly correct in a recipe. Every time you use a recipe new elements are added to your analyse and those elements can be corrected.

For example:
If you are using a recipe to add the column “Stock surplus 12 months” to your analyse, then it will be visible on your list of calculated columns (the window “Edit columns”). From here you can edit the column exactly as you know it from other columns.

Are Recipes the answer of all my supply chain questions?
The short answer is no!

Recipes are well tested formulas and analytical set ups that have been tested during a longer period. They are guidelines – and not universal truths that will work for all supply chains. If you need help or guidance to build up analyses, you are more than welcome on our workshops.

Are you missing a recipe?
We are continually working to expand the number of recipes, so do you have a good idea or are you missing a specific recipe, please let us know.
